Adding hyperlink to discussion board post

How do I add a hyperlink to a discussion post. When I copy and paste a web address it does not look like a link as it does in other programs. Here is an example:

http://discussions.apple.com/index.jspa

Will this web address change to a link when it is sent? I don't really care about changing the text or name of the address, but that would be good information to have as well.

Thanks

Hi, LHM -

The sample you inserted above works fine - it is a clickable link. Note that it does not become such until the message is actually posted - it will never appear as a clickable link in a message formatting box.

If you do not care about having a plain text label substituted for the link, then just do as you did above - past in the raw URL, including the http etc. prefix.

Note - be sure you do not butt the URL against other text at either end; using a leading and a following space (or setting it off between returns) is a good habit to prevent that from happening.
