Apple Watch Series 2 syncing data with Nike Plus

Hello,

I'm a runner and I've been using my Apple Watch Series 2 for a variety of outdoor GPS running activities. I will typically go to the Workout app on my watch and select "Outdoor Run" and go about my run with no issues. All of my data is shared to the Health App and my Nike Plus Running App. All read and write privileges are allowed for the Nike Plus Running app on my phone. For the first few weeks of getting my watch, my runs would sync into Heath, and then into the Nike Plus app on my iPhone without a problem. I typically like to track my mileage and PRs and have been using the Nike Plus Running app for this for years without issue.

Recently I've had trouble with my runs not showing up in the Nike Plus App if I use the "Outdoor run" workout. They will show up in the Activity App and in the Health app, but will not sync with Nike + anymore.

I've tried using the Nike Plus App on the watch for a run, and it pulls my GPS info and will sync with Nike Plus just fine. It will also show up in the activity app and health app fine. However I don't like the interface and I enjoy the Apple Workouts "Outdoor Run" better because the metrics are laid out better and easier to see.

Is there a method to sync my data to Nike Plus from using the Apple Watch Series 2 "Outdoor Run" Workout mode? Or is anyone else having similar issues. I'm current on all OS updates for my watch and iPhone.

Thanks

Apple Watch Series 2, watchOS 3.1

Hi Ana,

Follow the steps from this Link: https://goo.gl/jMBV01(Nike+ Run Club App for Apple Watch 2 and Apple Watch)

Here the Highlights of this Link for your convenience:

  1. Update ALL Software on your devices (watchOS/iOS/NRCApp)
  2. Tap “Nike+ Run Club” and toggle on to show the app on your Apple Watch or Apple Watch Series 2
  3. If you are a new user, please start your first run on your connected mobile device so your Apple Watch or Apple Watch Series 2 knows what preferences to use the next time you quick start a run

I too am facing similar non-syncing issues between Apple Watch Series 2 workout app and Nike Run Club App. Have already updated to Watch OS 3.2.2. Can you please be more specific as to how to Stop BT Connection? You mean I should immediately switch off the headphones after each run so that there is no bluetooth connection between them and my watch/iPhone or should I use "Forget the device" option under Bluetooth in my watch/iPhone after each run. Kindly advise.

Hi Sumitsuri,

I just mean that switching off all connected Bluetooth (BT) devices could help fix the issue of syncing runs to your iPhone (not disconnecting the Apple Watch itself of course).Make sure to also have all watchOS/iOS software and app's up to date.
