Apple Pay - Not available for in-app payments

When I try to use Apple Pay in the Apple Store app to pay for a mbp 13" that is around 15K HKD, some of my credit cards are selectable, some of the cards are under the section "NOT AVAILABLE FOR IN-APP PAYMENTS".

Why is that?

The selectable cards are Visa and owned by me. The not available cards are MasterCard that are not owned by me. Are they related?

Do I need to do any setup to allow this?

I would like to pay by the MasterCard bcoz its DBS Black...

iPhone 6s, iOS 10.1.1

Hi

The availability or otherwise of certain cards for in-app payments is determined by the card issuer, not by Apple.

If you would like your card issuer to support that feature, you may wish to let them know.

Hi, do you know if there is a page that talk about this? I searched the keyword but found nothing that explain this is something related to the card issuer. This is what confused me that it could had been my own problem..

I found that the "DISCOVER" card doesn't support in-app payment. But I wonder could it be the same for MasterCard such a large network?

Apple does not publish a list of supported cards for Apple Pay or a list of cards that is supported for in-app payments.

Also, not all MasterCard cards are supported cards. The decision regarding which cards are / are not supported for Apple Pay rests with the individual bank / card issuer, not with the payment network.
