iPhone 6s Plus currently on Android?

I'm not sure how to phrase this question. I bought a used iphone 6s Plus from an online market here in South Africa, did all background check to be sure its an original iphone and icloud activation "ready" on apple.com and all my findings prove legit only for me to find out its running on Android. How is that possible? I tried to contact the seller and he wont pick my calls. What do I do? hence my question, Is it possible to revert Andriod and install IOS 10?

Thanks.

Holmes.

How did you check this device to see if it is an iPhone? An iPhone cannot run Android. What makes you think it is running Android? Is it possible this device is just jailbroken and appears to be running Android? Do you see a icon like Cydia on it? If it is truly an iPhone, you can Google how to place the device into DFU mode and see if you can restore it.

Thanks ChrisJ4203 for your reply.

Its also stupid to me asking this question because I always thought its impossible. After i signed into my gmail account I got an email saying I signed into an Android device. And I cant sign into my itunes, Apple store or icloud on the phone where as I can do all this on my iPhone 4s. Now the podcast app on the said phone is a radio app and not the authentic podcast app. I can only install apps via google play which means clearly its an Android operating system.

I also entered the serial number in the website below and it recognise its an iphone 6s plus.

I'm not knowledgeable about jailbroken or DFU, but I will read about that.

Thanks.

You do not need a pic of the copy, choose any Iphone turn it off then you have a pretty good idea how it looks, the person who help us with my dad (he had an stroke) almost bought one and when I saw it turned on I told him it was a fake and he was able to not get involved in a scam, but believe me it looks the same until you turn it on and see the interface of the OS it have (usually android)

It is nothing less than an original iPhone when you see it. Its hard to tell the different as there's none to point out. I watch a review of Chinese clone iPhone 6 and there were few differences like the apple logo imprinted at the back of the phone also with the camera on the fake it looks flat but on this iPhone 6s Plus they perfected the clone. I installed IOS X which is an Android app that simulate IOS 10 and now you can't tell any different except when you start comparing apps on the phone. I did a hard reset just to proof what language the bios of the phone is coded in and it was in Chinese off course.

Try to buy an original, I tell you is pretty good to have one, more if you have the whole apple environment, like apple tv, mac computer, Ipad, Iphone it is pretty cool since you can do a lot stuff with all together.

I'm a geek I have always two phones my personal (an Iphone) and my work related phone (and Android last one is a Z2 supe nice camera better than any of the trade apple trade mark yet and water proof) but even when I started with Android before buying an iphone (because it was way to much cooler than the Iphone in that year, I'm talking about Iphone 3s it hasn't flash integrated, my Android had micro hdmi output, better camera, screen of the size of the 6, 8GB internal and 16Gb external Iphone was 8GB at all I remember and MotoX had voice commands and siri wasn't in the picture yet) After I bought my Mac I discovered that it was pretty useful to have and Iphone (I see it as an accessory of my computer as the apple watch as an accessory to my phone) since every time I have to send a quotation or a propose to my costumers I can use my Iphone to open pages check the last documents about it I had worked on my mac modify them and then send it as a PDF to my costumer, that at least for me is the real value to have an Iphone something that android haven't give me at all. Even when Android from Motorola or Sony have a lot better hardware or have most capabilities on doing a lot more thing than iOS and better accessories they do not fulfill my professionals needs that my Iphone covers.
