After getting the watch wet you should clear water from the speaker. From the Manual:

Go for a swim. With Apple Watch Series 2, there are two swimming workout options. When you start a swimming workout, Apple Watch automatically locks the screen with Water Lock to avoid accidental taps. When you’re done, turn the Digital Crown to unlock the screen and clear any water from the speaker. You hear sounds and may feel some water on your wrist.
If you are concerned that your watch is not clearing water from the speaker as it should do, I suggest contacting Apple Support in the first instance, taking advantage of your initial 90 days of complimentary telephone-based technical support. Apple can then advise whether your watch should be inspected under warranty:

As your Apple Watch Nike+ speaker still sounds muffled after you have cleared water from the speaker using Water Lock and after you have dried the watch with a suitable cloth (nonabrasive and lint-free), it may help to manually clear the speaker again:
When viewing the time on your watch: swipe up from the bottom of the watch face to open Control Centre > tap Water Lock > turn the Digital Crown to unlock the screen again and clear any remaining water from the speaker.
If the speaker still sounds muffled afterwards, allow time for any remaining water to evaporate. Do not use heat, compressed air or sprays, do not insert anything into the speaker port and do not shake the watch to remove remaining water. Apple advises that allowing your watch to charge overnight may speed up evaporation.
