iTunes unable to connect to iPhone

Hi, I´m trying to synchronise my iPhone with my Macbook pro and after connecting the phone to the computer following message appears: iTunes could not connect to the iPhone because an invalid response was received from the device.

I've tried updating iTunes and different USB cables and ports. I've also tried connecting it to another MacBook but the same problem appears.

How can I fix it?

Thank you!

This is just awful. I will not, repeat will not, upgrade my Mac from 10.7.5 to Maverick. When I try to update iTunes it says "This version of iTunes (12.2.2) is the current version." When I ask for software updates it says "Software Update doesn’t have any new software for your computer at this time."

I updated my iPhone 6S only because it's been bugging me for weeks every time I turn it on.

If that means that I can never again plug my iPhone to my computer to copy my pictures, etc. - well, this is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. Apple just has to fix this.

That's nice, and I sent my problem to Apple, but Apple says they won't respond to feedback or suggestions.

As Apple advises, you should not expect to receive a reply after submitting feedback. However, as Apple also advises, "we read all feedback carefully".

If you would prefer to discuss the issue with Apple, options include:
