Logitech MX Anywhere 2 Mouse Latency in Sierra

My Logitech MX Anywhere 2 Mouse has a 3-5 second latency in responding to movements or scrolling after it's been sitting for 20 seconds or more. This bluetooth mouse cursor literally does not move until I wiggle the mouse for a few seconds. Just started with last Sierra update. I have tried each of two mouse units I have on two different MacBooks, an Air and a Pro. Has anyone found a workaround for this?

Hey NoBrainsForThat,

If I understand correctly, you have multiple mice and multiple MacBooks and one of the mice is able to connect and works but it is slow to connect after not being used. Since there are multiple devices things like this can happen because of interference. Another thing, you can start in safe mode to rule out third-party software as a cause. I would recommend you read these articles, use them to help troubleshoot the issue.

Thanks sincerely Darren S. Please forgive me for writing the question in such a confusing way. I have two MX Anywhere 2 mice. They both have the latency problem on a work laptop. I tried them at another time and place on a home laptop with Sierra and found the same issue. In each case, only one mouse was bluetooth-connected at a time, the second mouse always being switched off and not connected. But I think your answer is helpful, and I did find something like that was helpful.

  • I turned off the one mouse that was connected
  • Disconnected it from bluetooth
  • Ran Cocktail to clear file caches of all kinds
  • Restarted
  • Connected the MX Anywhere to bluetooth

This seemed to work OK. Will have more time on that tomorrow to confirm.
