Access to wallet from lock screen not working?

I just upgraded my iPhone 6s Plus to iOS 10.1.1. Now I can no longer access the wallet app from the lock screen by double clicking the home button. I have tried going to settings and turning that function on/off. I have tried restarting the phone and force quitting (hold sleep and home button for 10s) without success. Any fixes for this? P.S. - this functionality and my Apple Pay was working great prior to this update.

Hi Cornmeal,

I see you're having trouble accessing your Wallet cards and passes from the Lock Screen. Let's try a few things to configure this feature for you.

Go to Settings > Wallet > Double-Click Home Button should be On (green.)
Next, go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode > Wallet should be On as well.

Check these options in Settings, and take a second to open Wallet and make sure Wallet is set up and working on its own from the Home Screen as well.

Let us know what happens next.

Thank you for taking the time to help me with this. I have checked the settings you mentioned in your post and they are configured the way you have said they should be. Wallet opens normally once I have unlocked my phone and open it directly. Also, I have a debit card, credit card, and a rewards card setup within it. Everything appears to be working properly from within the app, however, I have not tried to use Apple Pay since updating to iOS 10.1.1. In summary, I still cannot access Wallet from the lock screen by double clicking the home button.


P.S. - I tried turning the settings you mentioned off, power cycling the phone, and turning the setting back on. No change.

Im having this same problem, I can add items to my wallet like upcoming flights but I no longer receive any information on the lock screen when those events are upcoming.


I have run through the suggestions above to no avail.


There seems to be no information about this error out there.


I noticed it first after pairing my iphone with an Apple Watch gen 2.


I also notice I don't get any notifications on my lock screen when I'm on a phone call any longer. It's not until the call hangs up that I can see any of the notifications that came through while the call was taking place. Not sure if the two issues are related.

I have the same problem... I have spoken to Apple, been on the forums, reset my phone, checked all settings etc., but nothing works... and Apple don't seem to be aware that this problem exists. And apart from an initial response to check settings, reset etc., there is a deafening silence thereafter... pity because I would use Wallet all the time if it was easy to access!!
