Change folder name font color

I like the look of a black background for in folder view options, but the font is also black so when I choose it, the name of the folder disappears. Is there some way to change the font color of the folder name to white or something lighter? This is the iMac I'm using:

Here's what I don't see when I choose a black background:

Liberia can be seen because it is selected. The others, not so much!
