I updated my Macbook Pro 2011 Mid to OS X Sierra. A few days everything was good. Then, I had a problem as below.
I try to open Macbook. As you see above, after the apple logo, screen become white and stay there.
- I cannot start in safe mode.
- I tried pram, not working.
- I tried single user mode, not working.
- When macbook is opening, I press shift key but nothing change.
Could you help me about it?

I have the same problem, been two weeks without my mac and desperately need it. Trying to download a OSX El Capitan image and going to try to reload it in place of the Sierra.
IF you were proactive and used your TimeCapsule...turn on Mac, and immediately hit command + R for recovery mode. command + D for diagnostics.
I don't have TimeCapsule. I tried command + R, but there was still white screen after apple logo instead of recovery mode. 😟
Try Internet Recovery: ⌘ option r
Sorry I should have clarified. ..Press power button, then immediately press command + R, and HOLD. U will see the Apple logo on ur screen and the loading bar. Continue to hold until it takes you to the Recovery Mode.
I just picked up an external HD, I'm am just going to start fresh again. Back up everything to the Ext HD, and Restore it back to either the El Capitain image, or original image.
I tried option + r but it did not work.
I appreciate your help. I tried your advice. I see Apple logo and the loading bar, but then the white screen appears again. What else can i do?

Just to be clear, Internet recovery requires holding ⌘ option r with three fingers, while you start the Mac with a fourth finger.
It could switch to internet recovery. I' connected to the wifi and saw loading bar. 10 minutes later loading bar finish and then the white screen appeared again. 😠
If you live near an Apple Store, make a Genius Bar appointment to have the computer tested. Supposedly there is no charge for testing. Use 2nd link if not near an Apple Store or aren’t in the US. Hardware Repair - Keeping Confidential Data Safe
There has not been any improvement, the computer is still not working. I left it at the Apple Store on Monday. Let's see what will happen...
