Iphone features to 'Set Data Usage Limit'

Wishing that the next new iphone can have the features to 'Set Data Usage Limit' so that data usage can be controlled by our preference.

I cannot believe iPhone does not have this basic feature to prevent exceeding the data allowance.

Why !??

Is it to help your sponsoring telecom networks so that they can exploite the users like me to exceed the data allowance and charge a huge amount???

Apple it is just not fair.....

Even 10 year old phones had this basic feature!

The most expensive iPhone lacks this!!! There must be some reason to support the telecom companies ....

Hello celynli,

I understand that you would like to have the ability to set a usage limit on your device so you no longer have to worry about exceeding your monthly limit. There is not a way currently to do this.

Apple does like to hear its customers ideas for future updates and upgrades. If you would like to submit your request please do it here .

In the meantime, if you are finding you're exceeding your data on a regular basis. This document covers the steps you can take to administer your own usage.

Your answer is NOT relevant to the question. Many Android units have this option, even to nget a message to som, say 75%, limit.
