Recently deleted apps draining battery but I've not deleted any apps?

I can't find an answer to this question anywhere. I have not deleted any apps at all in the last 7 days and yet "Recently Deleted Apps" are apparently draining my battery. Every day they are responsible for most of the battery use on my phone. Does anybody know why this is happening and how to stop it?

Hello MGS84,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
Looks like you're having an issue with battery life.
With any potential software issue the first thing you want to do is simply restart the phone by holding down the Sleep/Wake button on the right side of the device, then swipe to power off. Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If after that the issue is still occurring you'll want to look into creating a backup in iTunes (How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch) and performing steps 1 through 3 in the Apple Support Article, If you see the Connect to iTunes screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Let us know if you have any questions. Again, thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
Have a great day!
