Using Word for Mac, how to repeat last action

I'm a recent convert to Apple and have a MacBook Pro running Sierra, and I have Word for Mac. With Microsoft, it was easy to repeat whatever was the last action I took, and I used this function often. On my Mac, is there a way to do this?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), macOS Sierra (10.12.1), Word for Mac

Well, that shows me that Command-Y works for things like putting type in boldface, italic, etc. But it doesn't work if my last action was to highlight a line in a color, or to indent a sentence. So I'm still hoping there is a universal keyboard shortcut or some other way to repeat my last action.

Hi,

Edit Menu > Repeat Typing

Is this what you mean?
