How do I get haptic indication of when to breathe?

I would like my apple watch to notify me when it's time for meditative breathing. So far the only notification I can find is a tiny red dot possibly showing up on the watch face. But I would need to think to look at my watch for this dot. I would prefer for the watch to tap my wrist when it's time to breathe. I would think this obvious feature is available but I can't figure out how to do it. (I would like similar tap ten minutes before a calendar item.) I have the apple watch series 2 with OS 3. Day two of apple watch for me... loving it! 😀

Hi

To receive reminders for using the Breathe app:

On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > Breathe > Breathe Reminders > choose a frequency for reminders.

To check your settings for sounds and haptic alerts:

  • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > Sounds & Haptics.
  • Check that the Alert Volume is towards the centre or right hand side.
  • Check that Silent Mode is not enabled.
  • Check that Haptic Strength is set to the middle or far right hand side of the slider.

The Notifications Indicator (the red dot on your watch face) is shown when unread notification alerts are awaiting your attention. To view saved alerts:

  • When viewing the time on your watch, swipe down on the watch face to open Notification Centre > tap on a notification alert to read it > tap on Dismiss to clear it.
