Try repairing Apple Software Update from the programs & features control panel, and then try to update iTunes again.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.

The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, or want to revert to an older version if the current one won't work properly for you at the moment.

Your library and device backups should be unaffected by these steps but there are links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

Thank you, I was able to download it and install it after following the suggested steps on the following two links ( If you can't download iTunes for Windows using Microsoft Edge - Apple Support & Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates ) and following the trends you recommended.

Basically deleting anything related to iTunes and Apple from the Control Panel -Windows 10, Microsoft Edge - and unblocking (off) the Block -pup-ups under settings. Then restarted the device once, then downloading the "iTunes 12.5.3 for Windows (64-bit)" from the official web page, restart again.

The reason being I needed to upgrade to this was because my iPhone 7s is asking for a new version of iTunes in order to communicate with my PC.

I hope it helps/works for others, Thank you.
