Sudden Battery Percentage Drop

My iPhone 6 Battery life is solid, the only problem is that the percentage will suddenly drop from above 45% to below 10% and this happens daily. The moment the charger is inserted after a battery drop, the percentage will suddenly jump back to about where it was prior to falling below 10%.

This issue has been the norm since the phone was purchased nearly 2 years ago and with every update, there was hope that the issue would be resolved. This issue has been reported via beta testing and because it hasn't been resolved, I am inclined to believe this is a hardware issue.

There has been NO LOSS IN BATTERY life as the phone will operate for Hours at 1%.

The attached pictures will show the percentage after the battery level drop and the percentage the moment the charge was attached. Take not of the time, the issue occurred twice on the same day.User uploaded file

Thanks for responding.

Yes, the battery has run out quite a few times on it's own and then fully charged again. I probably run it out twice a week due to the problem and not knowing exactly how much time there is remaining on the charge.

Agreed. It is most likely a hardware issue. The good news is that the battery is not draining more quickly, it's the gauge that's off.
