Problems installing Canon MG3550 scanner

I'm trying to set up my Canon MG3550 printer-scanner.

When I originally plugged it in, the software installed perfectly.

Now I want to scan something but I can't find the printer-scanner on my iMac. I've reinstalled it successfully, but it disappears.

Where is it?! I was expecting to find the icon in Applications > Utilities, as on my old iMac, but it's nowhere to be found.
