Quitting Chrome or Safari causes shutdown in Sierra.
MacBook Pro Retina (mid 2012) consistently shuts down "unexpectedly" after quitting Chrome or Safari. After Sierra upgrade. Never before.

Having the same "unexpected" shut down, but mine are completly random... I've read countless of articles saying i need to restart the SMC but that dos not help
The shut down is it: screen goes black and fans rev up when its black?

Thanks, I'll check this out even though the issue is with Sierra. I tried resetting the SMC and we'll see if that helps first. So far so good.
Great please let me know if the SMC reset did help. I have yet to have success with it...
