sky q router port forwarding

I have the sky q router and am having real troubles with the household iPads. iPhones and MacBooks work without problem, but with the ipads, connectivity is a real problem, constantly dropping out after about 20 minutes of working ok. I have tried changing channel several times, and now sky have suggested that I should try port forwarding to prioritize Apple devices - only problem is, they won't tell me how to do it!

Can anyone help?

Don't understand what sky q is talking about. My understanding is that you can only forward a port to one device. A port is another name for an application [ in a loose sense ]. Web traffic takes place on port 80.

DId you upgrade ios recently?

What version of ios?

Try out Wi-Fi Sweetspots. Will tell you how good you connection is. Walk around 20.0 Mbps in my living room. 2.1 at my mailbox. 0.1 on the farside of my car.

Wi-Fi Connectivity ios 10.1.1 - particularly Sky Q
