With the European positioning system starting service in just few weeks I was wondering if iphones (in particular my iphone 6S) will be compatible with the new GNSS signals?

The Galileo satellites are backwards compatible. So generally speaking the system will be interoperable with the current GPS and GLONASS. Most current devices should be able to use Galileo, even as we speak.
It remains to be seen if iPhone users can benefit from the ,5m accuracy that Galileo clocks are capable of.
I have read that it won't work with iPhone. IPhone shoud support only GPS and Glonass 😕 but still I hope I'm wrong...
