iPhone calls showing on iPad.

My iPhone calls are showing up in the FaceTime audio tab on my iPad. Why does that happen and how can I prevent it? I have seen other answers to this situation but I don't think they are germane to ios10. A common solution was to turn of cellular calls but that option is not available. Thanks for your help!!

I was having this issue too, until I finally stumbled onto a fix that worked for me. The obvious advice usually given in threads like this is "turn off 'Allow Calls on Other Devices.'" Well, on my iPhone, that setting was already off. So I decided I would try switching it on and then back off again.

When I switched it on, an "Allow Calls On" section was revealed, containing slide buttons for the other devices logged in to my Apple ID (iPads, Macs). They were all in the "on" position. I turned them all off, and then turned "Allow Calls on Other Devices" back off. Thus far, calls to/from my iPhone have stopped appearing in the FaceTime Audio call logs on my other devices.

This is clearly a bug in iOS 10. If the main slide button is off, the positions of the other buttons (which are then hidden) should be irrelevant.

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, hanoverken.
If I understand your post correctly, your calls are appearing on both your iPhone and your iPad and you'd like to stop them from appearing on your iPad. I'd be happy to help with this.
Continuity is the feature that allows things like calls and messages to be shared between devices using the same Apple ID. You can choose which items you want shared. This article will explain more about how to use the feature:
Use Continuity to connect your Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Watch
Simply reverse the settings listed here to turn it off:

  • On iPhone, go to Settings > Phone > Calls on Other Devices, then turn on Allow Calls on Other Devices.
  • On iPad or iPod touch, go to Settings > FaceTime, then turn on Calls from iPhone.
  • On Mac, open the FaceTime app, then choose FaceTime > Preferences. Click Settings, then select Calls From iPhone.

Let us know if that resolves this issue for you.
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. Take care.

I have had the same problem and have spent hours 3 times at the Genius Bar at the Apple Store plus 3 more hours with Apple Care on the phone and no one can figure out how to fix it! Even the engineers at Apple can't seem to fix it! Going crazy! Really disappointed with Apple right now. When it first happened a few weeks ago, with the latest update, I had 3 years worth of calls showing up in FaceTime Audio and there were hundreds and hundreds of calls!
