Printing or Saving a RANGE of pages from and to PDF?

I'm TRYING to become a new Mac user coming over from windows but I'm having tons of problems just trying to do things that were very straight forward and easy on a PC.

Currently, that is OS X (latest on a brand new MBA) will not let me print from a PDF to a PDF but will let me save a pdf to a pdf...problem is I need only certain pages from the original pdf to be in the new copy and only printing allows me to select which pages. Saving to pdf is all or nothing.

This is a HUGE problem for me as I often need to remove things from documents for privacy/financial and other reasons in my business and can't do it currently.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
