When I press the power button on my PowerBook G4 nothing happens?

I recently bought a WORKING 2nd hand 2005 Apple PowerBook G4 15". I powered it up for the first time, everything went normally and after it booted up I could use it like a normal PowerBook. I then decided to shut it down and reboot it, I had the charger plugged in and I pressed the power button. Nothing happens, there is no noise (no fans spinning or a hard drive spinning up) no screen recognition at all. All that is different is the green light around the charger flickers. I tried multiple times, with and with out the battery, even with a different charger. Still the same result.

Can anyone help me? Thanks

PowerBook, Mac OS X (10.4)
