How to contact apple support?

Hello,


How does one contact Apple support?


I have tried the chat but despite getting a message that "We'll be with you in less than 10 minutes" I haven't gotten anything for 8+ hours.


I have also tried getting a call from Apple support and although I get a call back rather quickly it's only a waiting loop and it disconnects before I can talk to someone.


I bought my iPhone 6S at Argos but they are unable to provide support since it has been more than 6 months since my purchase.


As I am of very limited mobility I am unable to visit an Apple store or repair centre.


How can I get in touch with support and actually talk or chat with someone?

iPhone 6s, iOS 10.1.1

The only other nearby Apple premium re-seller is KRCS of Coventry. Another place where I would be unhappy to shop for I, too am now partially disabled and understand such problems. But the nub of the question is the original seller, Argos, and current consumer law. Talk to your local C.A.B office and ask for their advice. The store's guarantee may be 6 months but they could be liable for a much longer time, under our laws (up to 6 years) and EU laws of 2 years. But it is all too complicated to go into here.


I'm sorry, but with the best will in the world I wrote to the hosts and asked them that your post code be removed and yet nothing has been done. My request to you was meant to reassure you we all are of good intent, the failure to remove the code is less reassuring. But you have no need to worry, it covers some 3 square miles so you are highly unlikely to be found. :-) It's just the principle. Incidentally I am currently in conflict with Apple over the telephone system that turned a simple five minute request into a three hour marathon set of calls ... all the cause of some Auto answering machine that assured me it understood my requests ... and promptly demonstrated that it hadn't a clue.


Chances are the mods who failed to remove your post code will now remove this post, but you will have your notifications copy and know I meant well.

Been waiting in the chat again for the last 4 hours without getting anything (though to be fair it does say it can take more than 15 minutes).


I've also received an email asking me to go to this link:

However I don't have any success opening this link. It just keeps saying "The connection has timed out".

That seems to be the general phone number for Apple support in the UK. I called it several times... it starts with a voice guidance system and promises to connect me to the next available support agent. However I get disconnected before anyone responds. The longest I got to wait was 1h47m and the shortest was just a few seconds.

At least it's a toll-free number.
