How do I block spam Calendar Events?

Sign into iCloud.com from a browser on your computer. Open the Calendar and open the Settings. Look on the advanced settings tab. Set it to accept calendar invitations by email. This will allow you to filter the spammers like any other email spammer.

I tried that, and I do not have the option to send them to e-mail. I even saw a screenshot of what it should look like, and mine does not look like that.

I had the same experience. There was no option to send to email.

I have the same issues as you with them spam calendar events and I do not have that Advanced Option in my iCloud account. I wish I had a solution and hope that someone will be able to help us.

It isn't under "settings" in iCloud Calendar, it's under "Preferences".

Click that little gear in the lower left corner, then "Preferences", then "Advanced".

Then under "Invitations", there are two choices: receive them as in-app notifications,

and send the to your default email account.

I'm not sure whether this has any effect yet, was I just found it...and, I'm not confident, really,

because, how did these people I've never dealt with get my iCloud address in the first place?

Note, it's in iCloud, but specifically in the Calendar prefs, not the iCloud prefs...

I found how to do it. When you sign on to iCloud, go to the little gear/settings on the bottom left of the window. (Not the settings up on the toolbar) That will give you the options for "advanced" and at the bottom is the choice to receive events via your email. Then you can block it as spam in your email account.

And yes- when you click on the little "gear" it will give you a pull down menu with "preferences." Then go from there.

Reluctant to transfer all calendar invites to email. Will this also transfer invites from family? Hate to lose this important functionality because of spammers.
