Printer repairing permissions

Installed gutenprint drivers, printer said something about problem during installation, wanted to make changes and repairing permissions.

Did it, nothing else happened. Printed one page, but printer refused to work afterwards, couldn't even shut down (button just burns green). Had to remove cable to force shut down. Works completely normal with Windows.

Removed drivers, installed again, this time no asks about repairing permissions, but same thing. Kicked gutenprint out.

Printer asking about repairing permissions means there was some error, but nothing serious or suspicious?

This thread seems somewhat close to the issue I had. (especially the snapshots posted in there)

While there the problem with repairing permissions pops up over and over, I had it only once. Don't know if it is connected with anything though. I think it did complain about software for the printer installed incorrectly. I didn't take snapshot of that. Second time it said nothing.

At least, maybe, hopefully, it isn't then something serious, inherently problematic for Mac's system itself. I still have another printer that works with Mac.
