Looking for a virtual drive software

You can create a RAM disk using the freeware utility Esperance (www.versiontracker.com.)

You can create disk-based images using Disk Utility. Consult Disk Utility Help from the Disk Utility Help menu.

Why reward points?(Quoted from Discussions Terms of Use.)
The reward system helps to increase community participation. When a community member gives you (or another member) a reward for providing helpful advice or a solution to their question, your accumulated points will increase your status level within the community.
Members may reward you with 5 points if they deem that your reply is helpful and 10 points if you post a solution to their issue. Likewise, when you mark a reply as Helpful or Solved in your own created topic, you will be awarding the respondent with the same point values.

You don't need vitual CD tools for OSX like Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools.

OSX has an build in feature for CD and DVD image's, like .iso and .dmg. When you open the image's, OSX will mount them on your desktop.

At this moment there is no vitual drive software for OSX, altough it would be nice to have it.

Toast is the only software at this moment which can also mount image's, it does exactly the same as OSX. But when OSX can't mount a image (due it is damaged), Toast sometime's can.

Kappy, this is not what he does mean, i think.

He will probably wants to open a .iso image off a CD using a Virtual CD application so he won't get a message like "Insert the CD to start the application".

This is a quite nice software feature which has never existed for OSX so far. When a tool like Deamon Tools has been installed on Windows, Windows thinks it has a second DVD drive, connected by SCSI. The Virtual CD tool can "insert" a image (like .iso) to the SCSI drive so Windows actually thinks there has been inserted a disk. This way Windows won't give message's like "Insert the CD to start the application" cause he just thinks there is the right disk inside the player.
