Why does my music delete itself on iOS 10?

Ever since I updated my iPhone 6 to iOS 10, my offline music which I added from my computer keeps deleting itself. I have to add my music about every 2 days. The only one that actually stay are the ones I bought on the iTunes Store.

I have tried backing up my phone to see if they would stay, but that didn't work. I don't know what else I could do.

Please help.

Greetings leliii,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It seems like music downloaded to the iPhone is being deleted and you have to download it again. One thing that can cause this to happen is if you have Optimize Storage enabled in the Music settings in Settings. If this is enabled and the iPhone is low on space, it will automatically remove music from the iPhone. If this is not the case please let us know and we can go from there.

Cheers.

Hello,

I have this problem too and it is really annoying. Some specific songs (about 20-30) keep getting deleted from my iPhone. I have tried everything. I tried syncing from a playlist, I tried adding manually, I tried autofilling from another playlist. Nothing. They always keep getting deleted after a day or tow and I have no idea why.

Please note that all my songs are from my iTunes library and they are not purchased. I don't have Apple Music on and I have plenty of storage on my phone (about 45Gb). I have the latest versions of iTunes and iOS. So I would really appreciate a valid solution for this cause it has been going on since 4 updates ago.
