Calendar language does not match system language

Hello,

My iphones system language is English, but since a few days ago my calendar language decided to change itself to the regeonal(Israel) language which is Hebrew.

I'm aware of the fact that I live in Israel, but I do like my phone to be completely in English, including the date.

Multiple times have I changed the region to different ones, restarting nor resetting helps

Nothing I do really changes the calendars language

There was no update, no sudden changes, nothing I'm aware of happened, my system language as was still is English, the region setting was always Israel but it the date was still shown in English

Please advise, I DO NOT LIKE HEBREW.!

Hi Lisikini,

If you are having issues with the language in your Calendar app, try adjusting the Advanced settings for Date, time and numbers in your Settings app on iPhone.

Language and region

Go to Settings > General > Language & Region to set:

  • The language for iPhone

  • The preferred language order for apps and websites

  • The region format

  • The calendar format

  • Advanced settings for dates, times, and numbers

To add a keyboard for another language, go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards. For more information, see Use international keyboards.

iPhone User Guide: Setup iPhone: Language and Region.

I would try setting the region to an English region and see if this affects the Calendar app. Thanks for using Apple Support Communities to post your question. Let us know if this resolves the issue.

Have a great day.
