White box appears behind Mac OSX Word
This has starting happening after the update to Mac OSX Sierra 10.12.1:When I use Microsoft Word for Mac OSX, a big white box appears behind the document I am creating. It stays there until I close Word, then it goes away. This sometimes doesn't matter. It is sometimes a nuisance. If I want (for example) to search my desktop while using Word, I can't, because that big white box is in the way.
It's not another document, and I can't move it. The box is fixed and doesn't respond to click and drag or anything other than closing Word altogether.
See screen shot. Most of the screen shot is white, because that's how my screen looks. The Word document I'm working on is in the bottom right.
This looks like a bug in OSX or Office. Is it? If so, how do I report it?
Has anyone else got this problem and how do I make it go away.
Using Mac OSX Sierra 10.12.1 (16B2555)
Word 2008, version 12.3.6 which, as far as I can see is (amazingly) the latest version for OSX.
Any ideas?
