My iMac has 5k retina display. Since we want to download movies and many are not 5k at all, can we use this MacX Video Converter Pro that will convert any downloaded movie to 5k? FWIW, converting low rez videos to 5K won't be any better than simply
viewing the movie full screen in the app, i.e. Quicktime Player. All you do
is create bigger files.
Thanks for the advice. You are right, it's safe to download. I discovered that it was not really 100% free, just a trial, and it only converted 5 minutes of a video I tested. I'm cheap, (LOL) and I don't plan to spend $40 for this converter.
I have and have used MacX Video Convertor Pro, it's perfectly safe and has worked fine the few times I've used it.
Judging from their web site, I wouldn't go anywhere near them.
