Hi ccgray,

If your bluetooth speakers are making a popping sound when connected to your iPhone 6 Plus running iOS 10.1.1, try adjusting the volume on both the iPhone and the bluetooth speakers. Having both devices turned up to the maximum volume may cause the speakers to become distorted.
