How do I turn off Dashboard?

I know that for some dashboard is a helpful feature. I just haven't found a use for it though. My question is simple, how do I turn it off?

Hi Ziriko! To turn off Dashboard just go to System Preferences > Mission Control and you´ll see a pop-up menu on the left hand side giving you 3 options for Dashboard, one of which is “Turn off”.

I apologise for the German OS System screenshot, but everything´s in the same place in the English OS version as far as I know. Hope this helps you! Cheers, Ian

You´re very welcome, glad to help! (We´ll stick to English if that´s OK...I use the German OS because I live in Germany, but English is my native language although I´m completely fluent in German 😉 ) To take a screenshot read this Apple link:

That wasn't quite it. I did take a look but I don't have anything set for the corners. Thank you for showing this feature to me though! It's is actually just open kind of like a full screen application and when I do the three finger swipe to move to the desktop, if I swipe one desktop further, then the dashboard is there. I know I can move the dashboard to the right side of my apps but I'd rather just close it as it was never open before I opened the dashboard app unknowing to what it was.
