iPod video having problems with playing videos (30 gb)

My ipod 5.5 gen video is having problems when I download videos off google and put them on my ipod. The audio is heard but all i get for video is a small freeze frame of the video i downloaded and it looks about the size of the album artwork you get next to your songs.

Please help me.

Have you tried re-loading the video onto your iPod, by
deleting it off, then syncing it back to the iPod again?

The first thing to probably consider here is the format of the file. What is the format?

To find out, connect your iPod to your computer, right-click on the video in the iPod's library, click on "Get Info", and under the "Summary" tab you should see the type of file.

Also, if you're iPod's space is now full, or very near being full, this may cause it to be freezing up on large videos or any videos as a general, if that's you're case.

In my experience this almost always seems to be format issue. You need to make sure they are mp4 files and that they are maximized for use on your iPod. There are many freeware programs out there for this. Visit www.versiontracker.com and search for iPod. You are bound to find something.

I have done all that except restoring it because i didnt want to go that far.
It is a new ipod so it barely has anything on it, and the videos came in mp4 format so they should be ipod compatible.
Do you know how to request online service by instant messaging the custumer service and if you do could you tell me how thanks.

Have you turned off "TV Out" under the Video Settings menu? What you discribed is exactly what happens if you play it like that. If it is a music video, don't find it under "Music" as it won't play the video.
