Question

where has my thumbs up icon gone in imac email?

My thumbs up icon for junk has disappeared and been replace with a basket with a cross in the middle on my email

Does anywhere know how I get it back or what may have happened?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.5)

If not, try this...

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.

(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive & clear caches.)

Right click on Mail's top toolbar, choose Customize toolbar, drag the thumbs down icon to the toolbar, then...

If you believe that such a message has been mismarked, just select it and you’ll see that the thumbs down icon changes to thumbs up, which is the Mark As Not Junk Mail symbol
