Apple Watch random taps / vibrations

Hi,

Beginning with watchOS 3.0, my gen1 Apple Watch often taps / vibrates when there is actually no notification - usually if I stand up from sitting, or start moving.

I've not been able to find any setting to turn this off, and have found no other examples via Google. Am I the only one this happens to? Does anyone know why it is doing this, and how to stop it?

Thanks,

James.

James,

Also have this issue, even after the watchOS 3.1.3 update. Not sure of the context / action that triggers these "random taps" but I know there's been at least a few occasions where I'm not imagining it and there is no notification to be found when I glance at my wrist.

Hopefully this is diagnosed and a solution devised.

Hi!

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one that this is happening to! I thought I was going crazy! It's been going on for quite some time now 😟. It doesn't happen too often though. Probably a couple of times a week. But it's still quite annoying.

I've been to apple twice about it. The first time, they sent it off to be repaired, saying that it could be due to a swollen battery, but couldn't find anything wrong. So I went back a couple of days later, telling them that I'm still experiencing the random vibrations. They then said that the only thing that they could due is sent it off to be looked at again, which would take another week 😟. I declined.

I don't know where to go from here!
