phone won't call 911

phone won't call 911

I have a working 6s model 1687, it makes normal calls on ATT and Verizon. with sim installed It will not call 911 with no sim installed. I have tried it after inserting then removing a sim from all 4 major carriers. Any suggestions?

An iPhone (or any phone) without a SIM can't make any calls. Not ever to 911. Unless your carrier is a CDMA carrier (Verizon or Sprint in the USA).

Thank you. But it was last on Verizon. The carrier shows Verizon in Settings. Even so, it does not connect to 911

Then there is no CDMA coverage where you are. Just put a SIM in the phone and it will allow you to call 911. Even if it is a disabled SIM.
