Bluetooth on MacBook Pro 2016 Not Functioning

I got a new 2016 MacBook Pro (base 15" system), but my Bluetooth sometimes randomly disconnects from my iPhone 5s and then doesn't when I try to turn it off in either the system preferences or the menu bar. All I get is the beautiful rainbow wheel. This doesn't happen every time, but it does happen enough that I am really hampered... Any suggestions or ideas?

I have a MacBook Pro 2016 touch bar and have the same Bluetooth problem today. I'm not sure if it is completely fixed but I restarted both devices (iPhone 7plus & the MacBook Pro) and in the Bluetooth settings of both the MBP & iP7+ I deleted the devices and then restarted both again. Then I added the devices and paired them again.

I also ran first aid on the MBP for good measure in between.

However, my MBP seems to choose either Handoff or Personal Hotspot, but doesn't like to connect through both at the same time. Maybe I'm missing something?

Hope this helps. Good luck.

I'm having a similar problem with my 13" MacBook Pro w/Touchbar. My Magic Mouse 2 keeps randomly disconnecting from it. I'm starting to think it's a Sierra thing though because I'm having similar issues with my late 2014 iMac where the keyboard, Magic Trackpad and Magic Mouse 2 all keep randomly disconnecting. Both are running the same build number of Sierra.

Same problem with magic mouse 2.

I got the new macbook pro 30. november and everything was working fine but today 1.december the magic mouse loose the connection even the system show the mouse as connected.

I needed to restart the macbook to make it work again. But after about one hour of work same problem again, the mouse loose the connection...

Hardware problem? I didn't have problems with the earlier macbook pro I migrated from.

The OS is the same on both macbook pro.

No.

In the previous example, Bluetooth is off and it's impossible to turning it on because the activation button is grey and it's not possible to click on it.

In this example, bluetooth is off, but the "turn bluetooth on" is active and you can turn bluetooth on by clicking on it.

Well, I just wanted to point out that after trying this solution:

my bluetooth problem is gone and everything is working fine for me now, so I thought that maybe it will help you too.
