What is the deal with spam in calendar?

OK, there should be a SIMPLE solution to the spam calendar episode... 90 percent of my email is spam already, will I now have to deal with spam in my calendar too? There are workarounds, but hey, I don't want to spend much time on this. Seems like Apple has some serious work to do here... I am really frustrated... What is it with people who want to push things to other people, if I want something, I will go and look for it.

Apple get your act together and DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS...

You do understand that Apple will not read your comments here because these are user forums, correct? If you want to let Apple know what you think, go to http://apple.com/feedback.

And by the way, if you change your preferences to receive calendar invites via email, as described at the end of Handling Calendar Invitation Spam, then you can easily manage these alerts through your mail provider and set up a filter for such emails.

(Note that I may receive some form of compensation, financial or otherwise, from my recommendation or link, because some pages on the site contain small banner ads).

Thanks guys, I did send it on to Apple, but still, we should not have to fiddle with new calendars and ticking off syncing as that is why we have the ios... To be able to sync it all up.

I think it is mainly on Apple to find a solution for this, if we want to avoid spammers ruining our calendars like they did ruin our email system. On a day with 300 emails 250 are spam... Are we going the same way for our calendars?

Sigh...

Looks like cloud systems are extremely vulnerable and at this point pointing us to just leave the cloud for what it is and stop using it...

As for changing email address and calendars on a monthly base to avoid spam: not very user friendly is it?

Why do companies not make a WORKING system to get rid of those nuissances that are spammers...
