How to convert .toast files to .dmg ?

I have several .toast files and need to convert to .dmg files (I think it should be in one file only, in order to install it on my MAC). I have seen some solutions using Disk Utility, but dated 2008, and using the MAC OS X Sierra Disk Utility don't have the same icons or menus to do it so. Thanks in advance.

A .toast file is basically equivalent to a disk image file i.e. .dmg but is created by the Toast software rather than the Disk Utility software. Such a file usually contains the contents of a CD-ROM or DVD or Blu-Ray.

If you merely want to access the contents or burn the contents to an optical disc then the easiest option is to use the same Toast software.

If you do want to convert it to a .dmg format then you will likely still need the Toast software. You would use the Toast software to 'mount' the .toast disc image file, then use Disk Utility to make a .dmg from the 'folder' i.e. the mounted toast disc image.

Note: When referring to optical discs the correct spelling is disc, when referring to a hard disk or SSD disk drive the correct spelling is disk.

There used to be a free third-party tool to 'mount' .toast files but this has not been updated for many years and I would seriously doubt it works in El Capitan and Sierra, therefore the real Toast program is likely the only option.
