Help with LG's Slim Portable DVD Writer

I just purchased LG's Slim Portable DVD Writer (Model GP60NS50).

The box says it's plug and play with a Mac...but I'm having issues.

When I plug it in, the Finder recognizes it as an external drive (it comes up on the left side of the Finder window), but I can't figure out how to burn a playlist to it. When I'm in iTunes on a playlist, the 'burn to disc" option is greyed out and not available to select.

Is this user error? What am I doing wrong? (And yes - I had a CDR in the drive 🙂 )

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you, Sterling R!

Your article tipped me off the the silly, silly thing I was doing wrong! I was trying to burn a playlist that was in the cloud (from Apple Music)...not purchased and localized to my machine.

All fixed now!

Actually, I'm still stuck. 😟

I made sure I used songs I purchased (so now "Burn to Playlist to Disc" is available from the iTunes file menu).

But when I do that, I get this message at the top of the window: "Disc Burner: no supported disc burners found"

Any tips?
