Remove login items via terminal

I upgraded my MBP 2012 from Mountain Lion to Sierra. I didn't want to, but my mbp is seem to be sluggish. Anyway, my problem right now is my main admin account is stucked with a spinning wheel when I logged in. I have a guest account so i was able to get in after the sierra upgrade. I'm thinking maybe i have some login items that are incompatible thats why i cant get past the login screen. I can ssh into my admin account so i want to know, how can i delete my login items via terminal?

MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012), Mac OSX Sierra

You can temporarily prevent Login Items from loading by holding a Shift key while logging in. Then, delete them in the usual manner.

You don't need to use Terminal, but Login Items are stored in ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginitems.plist
