You can simply erase the flash drive unless you have other stuff you don't want to remove. In this case simply select what you wish to delete, CTRL- or RIGHT-click on the selection, and choose the Move to Trash option. Then empty the Trash.
ZaZo,
Thanks for replying so rapidly.
First of all when I go to ABOUT THIS MAC, STORAGE, I can´t highlight anything. So, this doesn´t help. The next guy, KAPPY, has a way to delete the entire content, but I only want to delete 9GB of photos, keeping the rest.
As I stated earlier: select what you wish to delete, CTRL- or RIGHT-click on the selection, and choose the Move to Trash option. Then empty the Trash. If the photos are in a folder, then just drag the folder to the Trash.
Kappy,
Re: deleting photos (only) from the 121GB Flash Drive on my MBAir
I go to ABOUT THIS MAC.
I select STORAGE.
There is a color-coded bar telling me by category the amount of storage of each. Photos. is 9.5GB, which I´d like to delete from the F.Drive.
But, I can´t do what you say, I can´t control anything on this bar called STORAGE.
Understand?
Thanks,
Creatiivehaqi
You do it from the Finder, not the storage report. That is only information. You can't manipulate any of that information. You delete files from the Finder. Just double-click on the Desktop icon for the flash drive in order to open a Finder window. Navigate to where these files are located in order to remove them.
Thanks, Kappy, progress, but...
When I go to finder, the Flash Drive (per se) doesn´t come up, only my remote drives (and I have three).
But, ALL FILES does come up, and lists many photos. individually, but I don´t know the location of these.
You say `double click´ on the FLASH DRIVE (via Finder), but there is no icon, link etc. to Flash Drive when I activate Finder.
I recommend you don't delete anything until you are sure you have the photos backed up.
When you open Finder
1. On the Left you will have Macintosh HD
2. Click There then go to
Users
Pictures
3. There will be all your pictures.
Again if you delete them - they will be gone. So hopefully you have them backed up on another location.
Progress, thanks,
But, when I open Finder, there is no Mac HD on the left, only the remote drives.
I can go to ALL MY FILES and delete them individually.
Yes, I have them on my website and backedup, don´t worry.
I´m a professional photographer, and have thousands in GALLERY at www.cyclingpeace.org
Thanks,
H.
O.K. ZaZo,
Yes, thanks, I got there to the title of the file, (it says), `Fotographs´ (Spanish spelling).
There are many folders, files, now 7.5GBs. of...
Is there any way to delete in two steps (Fotographs), or do I have to delete folders and files, one, by one?

What happens when you highlight them and Press Cmd+delete?
Kappy,
Thanks for replying so quickly.
But, I don´t want to erase the entire contents saved on the Flash Drive, just 9GB of photos.
Okay, plan b
Go to "All my files"
Control + Click on one of the images you want to delete, A menu will pop up, near the bottom you will find "Reveal in finder"
Click that you will now be on your drive.
