iPhone setup problems

Having multiple issues setting up my iPhone 7 . Apple tech support is only open 8-5 m-f according to apple. Ok I can wait. Can't connect to email, "Move to iOS" keeps asking me for the passcode repeatedly, phone randomly freezes, safari says apple.com is an "unsafe website" and won't let me go there to get help. I'm new to iPhones and was told it would be easy. I hated the slowness of my android phone, but setup was easy. Love how fast the iPhone is but setup is torture.

If you're using Safari, it sounds like you already set up the phone. Move to iOS needs to be used during the setup screens, it cannot be used after the fact, once you reach the home screen.

I'm not sure about the Safari issue you're experiencing; more details would be helpful. One thought: If you go to Settings > Wi-Fi, does it say "Security Recommendation" underneath the network name?

In order to use Move to iOS, you probably need to erase the iPhone and start over again so you can go through the initial setup screens. To do this, go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. This may also clear up the Safari issue.

Thanks! I had to set up another iphone and found it you must do it in the correct order. The above link leaves a few details out.

No need to move SIM cards yet.

Do not turn on and play with you new iphone yet!!

1. Install "Move to iOS" on the Android phone. Do this first!

2. On the Android phone you need to uncheck "Automatic network switch". Not a time to be switching from WiFi to cellular data. You need to be on WiFi only and have a good WiFi connection. Do this close to your router.

3. Plug both phones into power and turn on.

4. Make sure the new phone has WiFi turned on (Settings>WiFi).

5. Follow the steps at Migrating from Android to iOS.

6. Up to you, but it may be easier to move pictures and music manually later on.

7. When done you can move the SIM card from your old phone to your new iPhone.
