iPad RAM: How To Check?

Hey guys,

I'm using an iPad Mini 3 running the most up to date iOS which is 10.11.

How can I check how much RAM is being used and I don't mean the storage space because I can check this in "Settings" and then "About", but not the RAM.

For example my PC has 3GB of RAM available and a 500GB HDD. I know my Mac has 64GB of storage space, but I want to know how much RAM it has available.

Thanks for any help!

Hi. The free Avira app includes a Device Analyzer, which shows the current memory status. It's not very useful, since most of the time, memory is pretty full. The system really looks after it. If you're interested, this https://developer.apple.com/library/content/documentation/Performance/Conceptual /ManagingMemory/Articles/AboutMemory.htm… is Apple's description of how it works. Avira will not show the memory usage by app, because Apple restricts access to that info.

iOS handle the the application memory for you

even though it show programs running when you view the tastlist

if an app require more memory then is currently empty ios

will just write the context of other apps to storage temporary

and close the app freeing up the application memory

the apps which display the system context does little more then confuse

the user as to the behaviour of the memory management of ios

and as been stated by apple then if one spend a lot of time manually closing

background apps one often really end up having a app which was sent to storage

have to startup again to be closed which mean ones actions end up costing more

battery usage then letting the system handle it
