Is the nylon band water proof
I bought an Apple Watch 42mm sport space gray
Apple Watch Series 2, watchOS 3.1
I have worn mine in the shower with no ill effects so for. Not sure what apple says.

The Woven Nylon band is not fully waterproof, so it may take a little time to fully dry out after being wiped with a dry cloth, depending on the nature of its exposure to water (such as after swimming with Apple Watch Series 2).
The Sport Band can be fully dried immediately after becoming wet, ready for ongoing wear.
Leather bands and stainless steel bands are not water resistant.
