How to delete empty albums from Photos?

I have many (now) empty "Albums" on my iPhone's Photo app. I can't see how to delete these empty boxes. Ideas?

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, twomblym.

If I’m understanding your post right, you have albums in Photos on your iPhone that are empty, and you're unable to delete those albums. I can certainly see how it would become a nuisance to have empty albums in Photos, so I can understand you wanting to find a resolution for this. I'm happy to help you find one!

Usually empty albums will appear on your iOS device if they were synced to your phone through iTunes. Either the albums were empty before they were synced to your iPhone, or the photos were deleted in those albums after they were synced to your phone. Either way, the only way to delete synced albums from your iPhone is to re-sync your phone to iTunes without including those specific albums. You can view steps on how to do that in Keep your photos safely stored and up to date on all of your devices , specifically the section titled "Sync your photos manually with iTunes".

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

Take care.
