iPhone 7 256GB size not showing in iTunes.

I am using an iPhone 7 256 GB with iOS 10.1.1. The capacity of the phone is not shown on the left hand bar of iTunes. However it shows the capacity for all my other devices whose storage is upto 128GB. Do help. Thanking you in advance.User uploaded file

I see that you have a question about the full capacity of your iphone not showing in iTunes. I can understand your concern and I'd be happy to help.


Let's take a look at this article about how your device reports storage capacity:

How macOS and iOS report storage capacity

Some of the storage capacity of any storage device, including of your Mac, iPhone, iPad, and iPod, is used by its formatting. Other factors, such as the operating system installed on the device, use additional storage space.





So although you have a phone with 256GB of storage some of that storage is already taken up to start with by your operating system.

Thanks. Well i'm aware of that. What my question was when u connect your ios device to itunes, the size of the device is visible in a small rectangular box towards the top left side of the window, just below the device name. However the same doesn't show up for the 256 GB iphone. Please have a look in the pic attached. The cacacity is mentioned in my 16GB iPad Air2, but not on my iPhone 7.User uploaded file
