Dear misters
Excuse me for my silence. I was testing some solutions:
1) I have buy a superserial card and when I will receive it I will test the creation of an image of my old apple 5.25" floppy disk by way of software A2V2.
It's a not easy solution because it need very different old hardware and software part, not easy to found.
2) Actually I had some successfull with an erethical solution: I have found a PC (Pentium) with Windows 98, an Hard Disk, a 5.25" floppy drive and a 3.5" floppy drive. I have installed on PC a copy of software DISK2FDI. The trial version of this software realize an image of my old 5.25" floppy disk that I can see on some APPLE emulator that are working on Windows. For example "A2 Oasis" emulator seems to have some result, but it's difficult to use and it seems to have some problems.
I suppose that with a more recent emulator (possibly that is working on Macintosh) could be not problems of legibility of the image files.
PROBLEMS:
However this second solution have a problem:
the software don't recognize the side B of my 5.25" floppy disk. It create the image only of side A. When I insert the side B of floppy disk and run the software it respond that the disk is in a not support format.
It's possible that the reason is the PC 5.25" disk drive that is for 1.2M capacity (the old apple floppy disk had a capacity of 140 Kbyte for side).
Do you have an idea of why the software in this second solution don't work with side B of my old floppy disk?
best wishes
