I have an iPhone 4s and I try to update it, but it won't let me I have tried everything. I will not allow me to install Facebook or nothing.

Have you tried any troubleshooting?

1. Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
2. Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
3. Restore: Connect your iPhone to iTunes on your computer, backup, and then select Restore to Factory.

See the chart below to determine whether you can upgrade your device and to what you can upgrade. If you do not have a Software Update option present on your iDevice, then you are trying to upgrade to iOS 5 or higher. You will have to connect your device to your computer and open iTunes to update.

Tap Settings > General > Software Update

If an update is available there will be an active Update button. If you are current,

then you will see a gray screen with a message saying your are up to date.

b. If you are still using iOS 4— Updating your device to iOS 5 or later.

c. Resolving update problems

This indicates that you have an iPhone 4 which can't be upgraded further.

Verify the model number at: Settings - General - About - Model = ??

That is indeed an iPhone 4, which can not be upgraded beyond 7.1.2.
